What's Happening

Arkansas vs. Notre Dame Tailgate

The Cathedral Men's Club will be hosting its annual College Football Tailgate Party in McDonald Hall on Saturday, September 27. Everyone is asked to reserve a spot by accessing the Flocknote event reservation page using the QR code in the bulletin or directly through Flocknote.

We will serve pulled pork from Whole Hog Cafe, along with potato salad, coleslaw, and hot dogs for the kids. Since the event is free, everyone should bring their favorite tailgate dish, and we ask that you register your dish. There will also be games, prizes, a 50/50 drawing, a Penance Jar for "colorful" cheering, and activities for kids.

2026 Bible Diaries

ItThe 2025 Bible Diaries, which the parish obtained last year and distributed during Christmas, received an overwhelmingly positive response. These diaries feature not only the Daily and Sunday readings for the liturgical year but also information about saints, the order of Mass, daily and family Prayers, the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, Benediction, Rosary prayers, Stations of the Cross, and a two-year calendar. What a wonderful gift!

The books are published by Claretian Publications in India. The parish is enthusiastic about obtaining the Bible Diaries for the 2026 Liturgical Year A. The total cost, excluding shipping, is $4,500.00.

If you would like to help sponsor these, please reach out to Fr. Joseph or the Cathedral Office.

Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)

The new OCIA structure is more like an invitation for an individual into the continuous process of spiritual formation. The process invites an individual seeking to join the Catholic Church to participate in the parish activities, as well as attend Mass and doctrinal sessions. Thinking about becoming Catholic or just want to learn more about Catholicism? The Catechumenate warmly welcomes you on the journey of exploration and discernment.

If you are Catholic and wish to complete your Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and Eucharist), please contact Debbie King at (501) 231-4193, or email ocia@csalr.org for more information.
