The Cathedral Choir is comprised of both professional and volunteer choristers with a mission for excellence in musicianship. Special events are produced throughout the course of the year by our choir, including Fall Serenade in October, Requiem in November, and spring Mother's Day Concert.
Rehearsals are from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Choir meets at 10:45 a.m. on Sundays in preparation for the 12:05 Mass.
Cathedral Handbell Choir
The Cathedral Handbell Choir is a volunteer group consisting of 11 regular members and several additional substitute members. Our Handbell Choir is a registered member of Handbell Musicians of America (HMA, formerly AGEHR) and participates each winter in the annual Arkansas State Handbell Festival.
We currently ring on 3 octaves of Schulmerich Handbells and 3 octaves of Malmark Chimes. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings in Classroom 2 of McDonald Hall from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Performances vary throughout the season (August through May).
Cathedral Youth Chorale
Cathedral Youth Chorale is open to students in grades 3-12. Its mission is to teach music foundations to the youth of our parish while fostering understanding and appreciation of music in the liturgy.
Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Youth Chorale sings for the 5:30 p.m. Sunday Mass on the third Sunday of each month (schedule may vary), as well as for Palm Sunday and Good Friday liturgies, Christmas with Posada, and an end-of-year concert in May.
