Thursday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m—The Cathedral Choir will present the Annual Requiem and Prayer Service for the Souls of the Faithful Departed . This year, the choir will present the iconic Requiem Mass by French composer Maurice Duruflé. The Duruflé Requiem is one of the most famous and well known of the many Requiem Masses composed. Beau Baldwin, is the organist, Linda Kelly, organist from Fayetteville, is the conductor, and Maria Fasciano, former Cathedral chorister, is the soprano soloist. The choir will perform “Faire is the Heaven” by British composer William Henry Harris, a lovely work for double choir. Everyone is invited to attend. The Book of Remembrance will be available for those who wish to add the names of their loved ones who have died this past year. These names will be read during the Necrology. A reception will follow in McDonald Hall. Please join us for an evening of prayer and glorious song as we remember the souls of the faithful departed.
