The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the path the Church provides for those interested in becoming Catholic. Those wishing to join the Church must complete the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist in keeping with our faith tradition. This Rite provides an environment that encourages personal spiritual growth as well as a deeper understanding of the faith prior to the reception of those Sacraments.
This opportunity is not limited only to those considering joining the Church and it is designed to serve other needs as well. A person may also wish to complete the Sacraments of Initiation if they have received some of them already. Others may feel called to learning more about their faith by participating in the meetings and groups discussions. All are welcome to participate and to grow along with us.
R.C.I.A.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is for anyone seeking to enter into the Catholic Church, for adult Catholics seeking completion of the Sacraments of Initiation, and those interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. The Church and the Cathedral of St. Andrew welcome those who want to join themselves to Christ through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. RCIA is also a great place for Catholics who wish to refresh themselves in the Catholic faith. For more information, you may contact Debbie King at 231-4193 or the Cathedral Office.
